Stainless Steel Expansion Joints
One of the most extensive and in-depth products we can offer are stainless steel expansion joints. Offering different movement capabilities than our braided flex hose, these expansion joints can handle angular offset, lateral offset and axial movement (compression and extension). These expansion joints can be offered by our multiple suppliers in different grades of steel with a wide range of fittings as well as in an array of engineered designs. Our suppliers do offer stocked sizes with certain specifications, but we can also source custom made expansion joints that will offer the best performance in your desired application. Our stainless steel expansion joints are offered in sizes from 2” – 48” diameter. Metal expansion joints are a precisely engineered product therefore we require as much information as possible about the application to be able to quote accurately.

These expansion joints are made by welding a type of fitting to a piece of expansion joint bellows. Hydroflex can offer our customers with a range of fittings as well as different lengths. The “single-ply” and “multi-ply” names are a reference to the layers of stainless steel used in making the expansion joints bellows. A single-ply will be suited for more general applications at a lower working pressure while the multi-ply uses multiple layers of thick gauge stainless steel to accomplish a higher working pressure. The expansion joints can also be offered with flow liners, for applications with extreme temperatures as well as tie-rods or limit-rods.

CRN Certified DME Series 150 & 250
Hydroflex Solutions has an ABSA approved process in which we can weld and test the DME 150 and 250 style bellows at our facility and we can certify these with a CRN. We can provide these expansion joints with both 316SS and 321SS as well as any type of flange requested by our customer.
